What was the strategy/knowledge that you were learning?
The strategy/knowledge that I was learning was I can add/subtract using the Place Value strategy and I can add and subtract using the Tidy Number strategy, I can find groupings of 2 in nos to 20 (eg 8 groups of 2 is 17)and groupings of 5 in nos to 50 (eg 7 groups of 5 in 37) and

I used the strategy well because I got them all right by taking my time and I worked them out

What challenges/ mistakes helped you with this new strategy/knowledge?
The challenge/mistake I made was when I had to split the numbers in half i accidentally split
the biggest number and it was much harder.

This helped me because now I know why you have to split the smallest number instead of
